Project Engineer Intern - Chicago & Barrington, IL (Summer 2024)

Position Summary

Pepper Construction Company is looking for a candidate who is a qualified, intelligent students with a passion for learning about the construction industry to come and experience life as a General Contractor. You will be paired with a Project Manager and project team to work directly with many aspects of project management, including processing submittals and other project documentation, assisting with estimating and the bidding process, preparing budgets, attending job site / owner meetings, working closely with all subcontractors, and being a champion for safety. We intend to expose you to real life situations in the field and in the office. You will also be involved in a fun, intern competition, training sessions, jobsite tours and exciting social events. 

Qualifications

• College student currently enrolled in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree

• Good communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Transportation to office and/or jobsite
